The murder of Jeremías Monzón. His mother supports the new Juvenile Criminal Code in Argentina.



International Consultant Javier Miglino Helfenstein confirmed that the mother of Jeremías Monzón, the 15-year-old boy stabbed 23 times by minors in the province of Santa Fe, Argentina, expressed her support for the new Juvenile Criminal Code approved by the Argentine Congress, which lowers the age of criminal responsibility from 16 (current) to 14. Two of her son Jeremías's killers are 14 years old and are free for that reason.

The case of Jeremías Monzón:

Jeremías, 15, lived in Santo Tomé, Santa Fe. He was lured by a girl from Santa Fe Capital, who made him travel 300 kilometers to meet her. Upon arrival, she and two other criminals ambushed him. They kidnapped, tortured, murdered him, and filmed the homicide, which they then uploaded to a social network. The 16-year-old killer is being held in a juvenile detention center awaiting trial. Her mother is also detained as an accomplice, while the two 14-year-old children are completely free.
The case is classified as aggravated homicide with three aggravating circumstances:
treachery, cruelty, and multiple perpetrators.
