La Policía Nacional de España ha detenido a dos hombres, uno en Toledo y otro Xirivella (Valencia), por acosar y amenazar a la diputada Ione Belara, por redes sociales, según fuentes policiales. Las amenazas, denunciadas por Belarra ante la Policía, se produjeron mediante mensajes privados enviados a través de Instagram.

El arrestado en Xirivella es un hombre español de 30 años y sin antecedentes. Está investigado por haber remitido a la parlamentaria más de 300 mensajes en un corto periodo de tiempo. Los mensajes, de carácter vejatorio e intimidante, contenían “amenazas graves contra su persona”, indican las mismas fuentes.
El arrestado en Toledo es hombre español de 49 años con antecedentes policiales por delitos comunes, como robos, hurtos o agresiones.
Belarra es la segunda dirigente del partido Podemos acosada en los últimos días. El domingo pasado, la exministra de Igualdad y eurodiputada, Irene Montero, denunció haber recibido amenazas de muerte por parte del grupo 764, una organización neonazi considerada terrorista por el Departamento de Justicia de EE UU y el FBI.

Belara is the second leader of the Podemos party to be harassed in recent days. Last Sunday, former Minister of Equality and MEP Irene Montero reported receiving death threats from Group 764, a neo-Nazi organization considered a terrorist group by the US Department of Justice and the FBI.
