The World Organization Bullying Without Borders confirms that Colin Gray, the man who gave a rifle to his 14-year-old son, Colt Gray, is guilty of murder following the shooting the teenager carried out at his school.
A jury determined that Colin Gray is criminally responsible for the attack at a Georgia school for failing to heed warnings about his son's problems.
Gray's son killed two students and two teachers at Apalachee High School in Winder, northeast of Atlanta, in a shooting that occurred in September 2024. Today, Tuesday, March 3, 2026, he was found guilty of second-degree murder and manslaughter.
The students killed were Mason Schermerhorn and Christian Angulo, both 14 years old. The teachers killed were Richard Aspinwall, 39, and Cristina Irimie, 53.
Another teacher and eight other students were injured.
Gray will be sentenced later with a term of between 10 and 30 years in prison.
Some relatives of the victims wept during the reading of the verdicts.
The teenager's mother, Marcee Gray, was not charged. She testified that she had urged her ex-husband to put away the guns and lock them in his truck so that her son could not access them.
The shooting:
The prosecution stated that Gray gave his son the gun as a Christmas present and allowed him access to it and ammunition despite his deteriorating mental health. They claimed he received "sufficient warning that Colt Gray would harm and endanger" others.
