The World Organization Bullying Without Borders confirmed that a man and a woman, whose nationalities have not been released, have been arrested by a Barcelona court following the sexual abuse and serious injuries inflicted on their 40-day-old son. The child is now under the guardianship of the Catalan government.

Sources linked to the Mossos d'Esquadra (Catalan police) confirmed to BSF that the two suspects, the 42-year-old father and 43-year-old mother, were arrested in Barcelona. The judicial investigation is being handled by the child protection office, so no further information will be available at this time.
Sources close to the Public Prosecutor's Office confirmed to BSF that the immediate imprisonment of the baby's parents and the suspension of their parental rights have been requested. The Public Prosecutor's Office determined that there is a risk of flight by the alleged sex offenders, given the severe penalties for the crimes they are accused of committing, as well as the possibility of repeat offenses and the potential harm to the minor's legal rights.
