More than 175 people were injured in Israel in the latest Iranian attacks in the ongoing conflict between the United States and Israel. At least two missiles struck the cities of Arad and Dimona.
Iran had denounced the US and Israeli attacks on the Natanz uranium enrichment complex, which it considers a grave threat to the planet.
The first missile hit the city of Dimona, home to the Negev Nuclear Research Center. The second struck the nearby city of Arad. So far, 175 people have been reported injured, some seriously.
"There was extensive destruction and chaos," rescuer Karmel Cohen told the JMH International Consortium of Journalists.
Shortly after the attack, Iranian state television claimed the bombing was a "response" to a previous Israeli attack on the Natanz nuclear facility. The Iranian Atomic Energy Organization had indicated hours earlier that the "Natanz enrichment complex was the target of an attack this morning" but that "no leak of radioactive materials" was detected.

Más de 175 heridos en Israel es el saldo de los nuevos ataques de Irán en la Guerra que llevan adelante Estados Unidos e Israel contra el país persa. Al menos dos misiles cayeron en las ciudades de Arad y Dimona.
Irán habían denunciado que Estados Unidos e Israel habían atacado el complejo de enriquecimiento de uranio de Natanz, un grave peligro para el planeta.
El primer misil cayó en la ciudad de Dimona, donde se ubica el Centro de Investigación Nuclear del Néguev. El siguiente en la cercana localidad de Arad. Hasta el momento hay 175 heridos de distinta consideración.
"Hubo destrozos extensos y caos", contó la socorrista Karmel Cohen al Consorcio Internacional de Periodistas JMH.
Poco después del ataque, la televisión estatal de Irán afirmó que el bombardeo constituía una "respuesta" a un ataque anterior lanzado por Israel contra la instalación nuclear de Natanz. La organización iraní de energía atómica había indicado horas antes que el "complejo de enriquecimiento de Natanz fue blanco de un ataque esta mañana" pero que no se detectó "ninguna fuga de materiales radiactivos".
