The World Organization Bullying Without Borders regrets to confirm the suicide of 18-year-old Fernanda Almada. The young woman suffered bullying at the Primero de Mayo Technical Education School No. 16 in Resistencia, Chaco, approximately 1,200 kilometers from Buenos Aires.
Fernanda's family told Bullying Without Borders that the teenager was constantly harassed, both at school (bullying) and outside of school (cyberbullying), and highlighted the lack of commitment from school authorities.
Fernanda's family filed a criminal complaint so that the circumstances surrounding her death could be investigated.
Cyberbullying of Fernanda:
After school, the bullying against Fernanda escalated into cyberbullying, especially through one of the "Toxic Four": WhatsApp, with messages such as: "If you're fat, I think you should be forbidden from speaking, if not from existing," which demonstrates the level of aggression directed at the deceased girl.
Measures taken by the Chaco Ministry of Education:
The supervisor of technical and vocational schools for the Ministry of Education, Alejandro Alegre, removed the principal of Technical Education School No. 16, Jorge López, and the pedagogical advisor from their posts.

La Organización Mundial Bullying Sin Fronteras lamenta confirmar el suicidio Fernanda Almada de 18 años de edad. La joven sufría bullying en la Escuela de Educación Técnica N°16 “Primero de Mayo” de Resistencia, Chaco a unos 1.200 kilómetros de Buenos Aires.
Familiares de Fernanda confesaron a Bullying Sin Fronteras que la adolescente era hostigada continuamente, dentro del ámbito escolar (bullying) y fuera de la escuela (ciberbullying) y resaltaron la falta de compromiso de parte de las autoridades escolares.
La familia de Fernanda realizó una denuncia penal para que se investiguen las circunstancias que rodearon el hecho.
El ciberbullying a Fernanda:
Terminado el horario de clases, el bullying contra Fernanda se transformaba en ciberacoso, en especial a través de una de las '4 Tóxicas': WhatsApp con mensajes tales como: "Si sos gorda creo que tenés que tener prohibido el hablar, si no te digo que el existir", lo que nos muestra el nivel de agresividad sobre la chica fallecida.
Medidas del Ministerio de Educación de Chaco:
El supervisor de escuelas técnicas y de formación profesional del Ministerio de Educación, Alejandro Alegre, apartó al director de la Escuela de Educación Técnica Nro. 16, Jorge López y a la asesora pedagógica.
