El presunto asesino de 14 años fue detenido, acusado de haber asesinado a su madre, de 34 años, de un disparo en la cabeza.
El trágico episodio tuvo lugar en Cheyenne, en el estado de Wyoming, Estados Unidos. Ahora, el adolescente será sometido a juicio y enfrenta cargos como adulto por homicidio premeditado.
Según informó a BSF el sheriff del Condado de Laramie, el adolescente de 14 años habría reaccionado con enojo después de que su madre lo retara e insultara tras una discusión relacionada con el presunto robo de una tablet.
El sábado 8 de marzo, efectivos policiales acudieron a una vivienda ubicada en la avenida Pine, en Cheyenne, tras recibir un llamado que alertaba sobre un supuesto suicidio con un arma de fuego. Al llegar al lugar, encontraron a la mujer con heridas de gravedad dentro de un dormitorio.
La víctima fue trasladada de urgencia en helicóptero a un hospital, donde finalmente falleció el domingo 9 de marzo.
El personal del Cheyenne Regional Medical Center alertó a la policía de Cheyenne que la herida de bala, localizada por encima y detrás de la oreja derecha, no era compatible con un intento de suicidio.
La pistola calibre 9 milímetros con la que fue perpetrado el crimen, pertenecía a la víctima y que ella solía guardarla en su automóvil.
Finalmente, el adolescente de 14 años fue detenido y se le fijó una fianza de 500 mil dólares. En caso de ser hallado culpable de asesinato en primer grado, podría enfrentar una condena a cadena perpetua.

According to the Laramie County Sheriff, who spoke to BSF, the 14-year-old reacted angrily after his mother scolded and insulted him following an argument related to the alleged theft of a tablet.
On Saturday, March 8, police officers responded to a home on Pine Avenue in Cheyenne after receiving a call reporting a possible suicide by firearm. Upon arriving at the scene, they found the woman with critical injuries inside a bedroom.
The victim was airlifted to a hospital, where she died on Sunday, March 9.
Staff at Cheyenne Regional Medical Center alerted Cheyenne police that the gunshot wound, located above and behind her right ear, was inconsistent with a suicide attempt.
The 9mm handgun used in the crime belonged to the victim and was kept in her car.
The 14-year-old boy was arrested and his bail was set at $500,000. If convicted of first-degree murder, he could face a life sentence.
