El episodio ocurrió en el Liceo María Auxiliadora de Punta Arenas. Con resguardo de identidad, la madre de la niña confirmó a Bullying Sin Fronteras que su hija de séptimo año básico ha sufrido bullying sistemático durante tres años, situación que alcanzó un punto crítico con la reciente intoxicación de las galletitas con desodorante corporal.
La niña fue hospitalizada:
Aunque inicialmente se mencionó el uso de desodorante corporal en la intoxicación, la severidad de los síntomas obligó a los médicos del Hospital Clínico de Magallanes a realizar exámenes toxicológicos y pruebas de detección de drogas para descartar sustancias aún más peligrosas.
La dirección del Liceo María Auxiliadora de Punta Arenas, Chile no contestó a los pedidos de aclaraciones por parte de Bullying Sin Fronteras.

The World Organization Bullying Without Borders confirms a horrific bullying incident in Chile. A girl was poisoned by classmates who gave her cookies laced with body deodorant.
The incident occurred at the María Auxiliadora High School in Punta Arenas. Speaking on condition of anonymity, the girl's mother confirmed to Bullying Without Borders that her seventh-grade daughter has suffered systematic bullying for three years, a situation that reached a critical point with the recent poisoning from the body deodorant-laced cookies.
The girl was hospitalized. Although body deodorant was initially mentioned as the cause of the poisoning, the severity of the symptoms led doctors at the Magallanes Clinical Hospital to perform toxicological and drug tests to rule out even more dangerous substances.
The administration of the María Auxiliadora High School in Punta Arenas, Chile, did not respond to requests for clarification from Bullying Without Borders.
