The World Organization Bullying Without Borders confirms that Diego Maradona's 13-year-old son, Diego Fernando Maradona, is facing severe cyberbullying.
In this context, Diego Maradona Jr. spoke to the press for the first time after asking his mother's permission, and, looking to the sky, he emotionally declared, "Justice for Dad."
Verónica Ojeda confirmed her distress because that moment became a viral clip on social media and a source of ridicule.
"That situation generated terrible cyberbullying on social media, everywhere, which I can no longer tolerate," Ojeda stated.
She also criticized a stand-up comedian who had mockingly recreated the boy's plea for justice.
"Diego is 13 years old, and obviously he was asking me, 'Why do people curl their hair like I do and say justice for their father?' And I tell him, 'You did things right, son, those people are mean, they have no life,'" Verónica recalled. “We are broken as a society. If you're an adult and you want to be funny, take it out on another adult, take it out on me, not on a 13-year-old boy,” she stated.
Autism as an aggravating factor:
“He has autism, and the teasing from people, what it provokes, isn't good for him,” the 48-year-old woman explained about the son she had with Maradona.
She also mentioned that he has been suffering online harassment for six months and that they had to seek help from a psychologist.
In that regard, she also referred to the burden of having the Maradona surname: “Dieguito looks a lot like his father. People see him in the street, come up, hug him, and it's good for him, but sometimes he doesn't understand why they call him ‘Diego’ like his father.”

La Organización Mundial Bullying Sin Fronteras confirma que hay una fuerte situación de ciberbullying con el hijo de Diego Maradona, Diego Fernando Maradona de 13 años.
En ese contexto, Diego Maradona jr. habló con la prensa por primera vez luego de pedirle permiso a su mamá y así pronunció de manera sentida y mirando al cielo: “Justicia por papá”.
Verónica Ojeda confirmó la angustia que siente porque ese momento se volvió un clip viral en redes sociales y motivo de burlas.
“Esa situación generó un (ciber) bullying terrible en las redes sociales, en todos lados, que ya no lo tolero más”, expresó Ojeda.
También apuntó contra una comediante de stand up que había recreado el pedido de justicia del niño en tono de burla.
“Diego tiene 13 años y obviamente me preguntaba ‘¿Por qué la gente se pone rulos como yo y dice justicia por el padre?’ y yo le digo: ‘vos hiciste las cosas bien, hijo, esa gente es mala, no tiene vida”, recordó Verónica.
“Estamos rotos como sociedad. Si somos adultos y querés hacerte el gracioso agarrátelas con otro adulto, agarrátelas conmigo, no con un niño de 13 años”, manifestó.
El autismo como agravante:
“Él tiene un rango de autismo y las burlas de la gente, lo que provocan, no le hacen bien”, detalló la mujer de 48 años sobre el hijo que tuvo con Maradona.
Además mencionó que hace seis meses que está padeciendo el hostigamiento online y que tuvieron que recurrir a una psicóloga.
En ese sentido, también se refirió al peso de tener el apellido Maradona: “Dieguito es muy parecido a su papá. La gente lo ve en la calle, viene, lo abraza y a él le hace bien pero a veces no entiende por qué lo llaman ‘Diego’ como su papá”.
