Julio, de 23 años, llevaba semanas orbitando en torno a David, el niño de 11 años al que acabaría matando a cuchilladas en un centro cultural de Villanueva de la Cañada.
No era una relación cualquiera.
A partir del testimonio de vecinos del lugar, brindados a BSF, Julio, un peruano de 23 años con discapacidad por un trastorno del espectro autista- había desarrollado una fijación en el niño, incluyendo prácticas esotéricas para que el niño se enamorase de él.

Julio, "buscaba rituales en YouTube y los intentaba replicar. Hacía amarres... Le gustaba esa cosa de la brujería", dijo uno de los jóvenes que coincidió con él en el municipio.

Based on testimony from local residents, given to BSF, Julio, a 23-year-old Peruvian man with autism spectrum disorder, had developed an obsession with the boy, including esoteric practices to make the boy fall in love with him.
He searched for witchcraft videos on YouTube:
"Julio searched for rituals on YouTube and tried to replicate them. He did love spells... He liked that witchcraft thing," said one of the young people who knew him in the town.
