The World Organization Bullying Without Borders confirms that Shamar Elkins, a former US soldier with mental health issues, is behind the massacre of eight children in Louisiana. Seven of the victims, aged between 1 and 14, were his children.

BSF's International Multidisciplinary Team accessed Shamar Elkins' official Facebook account. His last posts revealed mental health problems alongside photos of his children.
A plea for help:

The police investigation:
Louisiana police had identified Shamar Elkins as responsible for the shooting that killed eight children and injured three others: two women and a teenager.
The deadliest shooting in recent years:
In the United States, the country with the highest number of mass shootings on the planet, this is nevertheless the deadliest in recent memory. And the most horrific, with eight children among the fatalities.
War veteran status:
Shamar Elkins was a war veteran, according to information provided to BSF by the mayor's office of Streeport after the attack was reported at at least three homes in the area on Sunday, April 19, 2026.
Shamar Elkins was killed by police after stealing a car and attempting to flee the scene of the massacre.
"This horrific massacre perpetrated against eight completely innocent children in Shreveport, Louisiana, by Shamar Elkins forces us to reflect. The man, just over 30 years old, was a U.S. Army veteran. The same army that is currently deploying all kinds of missions in various parts of the world. Elkins' mental health was compromised, and he himself asked for help on Facebook. He probably also did so in official circles, and the response, given the massacre he unleashed, was inadequate. Seven of the eight murdered children were Elkins' own sons. Elkins himself was killed by police. Too many deaths and no response," said Dr. Javier Miglino Helfenstein, Human Rights and Child Protection Expert and Global Director of Bullying Without Borders.

La Policía de Luisiana había identificado a Shamar Elkins como responsable del tiroteo que mató ocho niños y dejó tres heridos: dos mujeres y un adolescente.

La condición de veterano de guerra:
Shamar Elkins era un veterano de guerra de acuerdo con los datos que aportó a BSF la alcaldía de Sreveport después de que reportaran el ataque en al menos tres casas de la demarcación este domingo 19 de abril de 2026.
Shamar Elkins fue abatido por la Policía luego de robar un auto e intentar fugarse del lugar de la masacre.
"Esta terrible masacre perpetrada sobre ocho niños completamente inocentes en Sreveport, Louisiana por parte de Shamar Elkins, nos obliga a reflexionar. El hombre de poco más de 30 años era un veterano de guerra del Ejército de los Estados Unidos. El mismo ejército que al día de hoy está desplegando todo tipo de misiones en varios lugares del planeta. La salud mental de Elkins estaba afectada y él mismo pedía ayuda en Facebook. Probablemente también lo hacía en ámbitos oficiales y la respuesta, a la vista de la masacre que desató, no fue correcta.
Siete de los ocho chicos asesinados eran hijos de Elkins. El propio Elkins fue abatido por la Policía. Demasiadas muertes y ninguna respuesta", dijo el Dr. Javier Miglino Helfenstein, Experto en Derechos Humanos y Protección de la Niñez y Director Mundial de Bullying Sin Fronteras.
