La Fiscalía de turno de Merlo, está investigando el último recorrido que realizó Maitena Rojas Garófalo, desde la puerta de la escuela secundaria Nro. 16 Manuel Belgrano en Merlo hasta General Las Heras.

Maitena, pertenecía a un grupo scout. El miércoles junto a su hermana fue a la escuela secundaria N° 16 Manuel Belgrano, de Merlo. Cuando llegaron a la puerta a las 7.15, le dijo la hermana que ingrese ella, porque tenía que encontrarse con una amiga y recién después iría a clases.
La adolescente de 14 años quedó filmada por cámaras de seguridad, que la mostraban en principio caminando cerca de la escuela Manuel Belgrano.
La chica fue hasta la estación de Merlo, tomó un tren e hizo una parada intermedia en el tren, antes de retomar su viaje a General Las Heras, donde luego apareció muerta. Además, la fiscalía tomó conocimiento de un posteo hecho por una amiga sobre un supuesto juego que podría haberla incitado a quitarse la vida.
Según reconstruyeron los investigadores, Maitena se subió al tren en la estación Merlo, con sentido a Lobos, aunque en la actualidad por obras el servicio solo llega hasta la estación General Las Heras.
La chica bajó en la primera parada de ese ramal, la estación Km 34,5 cerca de las 9 de la mañana. La separan casi 4 km de su casa de Merlo. Una cámara la registró a las 9.03 caminando en las inmediaciones, cerca de las calles Vidt y Montalvo.
Maitena luego regresó a la estación Km 34,5 y volvió a subir al tren, con el mismo sentido: hacia General Las Heras, que en estos días funciona como terminal. Allí se bajó. Entre ambas estaciones hay 32 kilómetros de distancia. El día de hoy su cuerpo fue encontrado en ese lugar, sin signos de violencia.

Fuentes ligadas a la Fiscalía de Merlo, confirmaron a BSF que los investigadores judiciales tomaron conocimiento de un mensaje que publicó una amiga de Maitena en redes sociales donde hacía referencia a un polémico juego de desafíos popularizado en internet que podría estar vinculado a una incitación al suicidio. Por esas razones, aún no se descarta ninguna hipótesis.

Sources linked to the Merlo Prosecutor's Office confirmed to BSF that judicial investigators became aware of a message posted on social media by a friend of Maitena's, referencing a controversial online challenge game that could be linked to incitement to suicide.
