Makayla Rene Settles committed suicide after continuous abuse.

The World Organization Bullying Without Borders regrets to confirm the suicide of 18-year-old Makayla Rene Settles, following continuous sexual abuse.

The accused is Makayla's father: Stephen Vincent Chavez faces charges of incest and supplying alcohol to a minor.

There is still no ruling on aggravated sexual abuse:

The victim's family has expressed frustration over the lack of rape charges against BSF. The Ventura County District Attorney's Office has charged Stephen Vincent Chavez, a resident of Moorpark, California, with incest and supplying alcohol to a minor in connection with the victim, 18-year-old Makayla Rene Settles.

The accused, Makayla's father, pleaded not guilty and was released after posting $250,000 bail. Following his court appearance on Tuesday, April 21, the victim's mother expressed her outrage. “He took advantage of her physically and mentally,” a family member stated.
