La policía española está investigando los cánticos "islamófobos y xenófobos" escuchados durante la primera mitad del partido amistoso en el Estadio RCDE de Barcelona, del tipo: 'el que no bota (salta) es un musulmán'.
En el descanso, se mostró un mensaje en la pantalla del estadio advirtiendo a los aficionados contra los comentarios y cánticos xenófobos. El mensaje se repitió al comienzo de la segunda parte, lo que provocó silbidos de algunos sectores de la afición.
"Sé que [el cántico] iba dirigido al equipo contrario y no era personal contra mí, pero como musulmán, sigue siendo irrespetuoso e intolerable", manifestó a BSF, Lamine Yamal, un joven de 18 que es musulmán practicante.
"Entiendo que no todos los aficionados son así, pero a quienes corean estas cosas: usar la religión como insulto en el campo demuestra ignorancia y racismo".
"El fútbol es para disfrutar y animar, no para faltar al respeto a las personas por quienes son o por sus creencias".
La Real Federación Española de Fútbol (RFEF) también condenó los cánticos antimusulmanes.
"La RFEF se opone al racismo en el fútbol y condena cualquier acto de violencia dentro de los estadios", declaró en un comunicado al que tuvo acceso Bullying Sin Fronteras.
El seleccionador español, Luis de la Fuente, calificó los cánticos de "intolerables" y afirmó que "las personas violentas utilizan el fútbol para imponerse".
"Deben ser apartadas de la sociedad, identificadas y mantenidas lo más lejos posible", añadió De la Fuente.
El partido del martes debía disputarse en Qatar, pero se trasladó al estadio del equipo de La Liga. Español debido a la Guerra en Oriente de Irán en Oriente Medio.

Spanish police are investigating the "Islamophobic and xenophobic" chants heard during the first half of the friendly match at Barcelona's RCDE Stadium, such as: "Anyone who doesn't jump is a Muslim."
At halftime, a message was displayed on the stadium screen warning fans against xenophobic comments and chants. The message was repeated at the start of the second half, prompting boos from some sections of the crowd.
"I know [the chant] was directed at the opposing team and wasn't personal against me, but as a Muslim, it's still disrespectful and intolerable," Lamine Yamal, an 18-year-old practicing Muslim, told BSF.
