The film 'Dua' by Kosovar filmmaker Beltra Basholli brought bullying and violence against teenagers to the forefront of this year's Cannes Film Festival.

The film 'Dua' by Kosovar filmmaker Beltra Basholli brought bullying and violence against teenagers to the forefront of this year's Cannes Film Festival. A sober film with strong social commentary. Bullying, violence against teenagers, mental illness, and youth suicide are profound and difficult issues to address, which makes Beltra Basholli's work all the more commendable.
Presented as part of the Critics' Week feature film selection, Dua, a co-production with France and Switzerland, focuses on adolescence, a chaotic and ambivalent stage of life, framed within the context of the war in the former Yugoslavia, between Kosovo and Serbia.
The idea is to avoid giving away too many details so you can see and enjoy it.
