¿Cómo fue el tiroteo?
Un adolescente de 13 años, estudiante del Instituto São José, ingresó a la instalación educativa con una pistola y disparó contra el personal administrativo y los estudiantes. La tragedia dejó a ambas inspectoras muertas y seis heridos de bala.
La Policía Civil de Acre abrió una investigación para esclarecer los motivos y detuvo al padrastro del adolescente que es el dueño de la pistola usada en la tragedia escolar.
"Estamos frente a una situación terrible de violencia. Ver a los chicos del Instituto Sao José en Rio Branco, montados sobre los techos de la escuela para evitar que los maten es una escena que los acompañará de por vida. La muerte de los dos docentes es una tragedia irreparable. Tal vez sea hora de que Brasil enfrente la realidad de la violencia en las escuelas. El bullying y el ciberbullying siguen matando impúnemente. Cada año se llevan la vida de 200 mil inocentes. Hoy, lamentablemente, volvió a quedar acreditados", dijo el Dr. Javier Miglino Helfenstein, Experto en Derechos Humanos y Protección de la Niñez.

What happened during the shooting?
A 13-year-old student at the São José Institute entered the school with a pistol and opened fire on administrative staff and students. The tragedy left both inspectors dead and six others wounded by gunfire.
The Civil Police of Acre have opened an investigation to determine the motives and have arrested the teenager's stepfather, who owns the pistol used in the school tragedy.
“We are facing a terrible situation of violence. Seeing the students of the Sao José Institute in Rio Branco, perched on the school rooftops to avoid being killed, is a scene that will haunt them for life. The deaths of the two teachers are an irreparable tragedy. Perhaps it is time for Brazil to confront the reality of violence in schools. Bullying and cyberbullying continue to kill with impunity. Every year they claim the lives of 200,000 innocent people. Today, unfortunately, this has been confirmed once again,” said Dr. Javier Miglino Helfenstein, an expert in Human Rights and Child Protection.
