Consorcio Internacional de Periodistas JMH – España está en alerta porque ha dado positivo en hantavirus una de las personas que estaba en cuarentena en el Hospital Gómez Ulla, proveniente del crucero MV Hondius. El paciente ha sido trasladado a la Unidad de Aislamiento de Alto Nivel del mismo hospital. El caso corresponde a un contacto estrecho identificado dentro del seguimiento epidemiológico activado tras la detección inicial del brote en el crucero de bandera de los Países Bajos.
La persona afectada se encontraba bajo vigilancia clínica y aislamiento desde su ingreso, conforme a los protocolos establecidos por el Sistema de Alerta Precoz y Respuesta Rápida (SIAPR). El positivo se ha detectado durante los controles diagnósticos periódicos realizados a los contactos en seguimiento.

The patient has been transferred to the hospital's High-Level Isolation Unit.
The case corresponds to a close contact identified through the epidemiological monitoring activated after the initial detection of the outbreak on the Dutch-flagged cruise ship.
The affected person had been under clinical surveillance and isolation since admission, in accordance with the protocols established by the Early Warning and Rapid Response System (SIAPR). The positive result was detected during routine diagnostic testing of contacts under surveillance.
