Un joven nicaragüense de 19 años fue detenido en Chamberí, Madrid, acusado de intentar asesinar a machetazos al ex novio de su tía, un colombiano de 28 años, después de sorprenderle en la vivienda familiar incumpliendo una orden de alejamiento por malos tratos.
Los hechos ocurrieron en un bajo de la calle Vargas 3, donde una mujer ecuatoriana de 40 años había recibido la visita de su ex pareja pese a la prohibición judicial de acercarse a ella. Según relataron fuentes policiales, el sobrino de la mujer se enteró de que el hombre se encontraba en la vivienda y acudió al domicilio armado con un machete de grandes dimensiones.
Durante el enfrentamiento, el joven empezó a asestar machetazos al ex novio de su tía provocándole múltiples heridas de gravedad.
Al llegar la Policía, los vecinos indicaron a los agentes que en el bajo se estaba produciendo una pelea a machetazos entre dos personas. En pocos minutos detuvieron al agresor con un machete de grandes dimensiones y asistieron al colombiano que estaba cubierto de sangre, con múltiples heridas y una amputación en el antebrazo izquierdo. Una vez asegurado el machete con presencia de abundantes restos de sangre, quedó intervenido para su análisis por Policía Científica.
Los sanitarios trasladaron al herido en estado muy grave al Hospital Clínico, donde fue intervenido de urgencia.
El joven agresor fue arrestado como presunto autor de un delito de intento de homicidio y otro de tenencia ilícita de armas.

Durante la intervención, la tía del detenido manifestó a los agentes que había retomado la relación con su ex pareja pese a la orden de alejamiento vigente.

A 19-year-old Nicaraguan man was arrested in Chamberí, Madrid, accused of attempting to murder his aunt's ex-boyfriend, a 28-year-old Colombian man, with a machete after finding him in the family home in violation of a restraining order for domestic abuse.
The incident occurred in a ground-floor apartment at 3 Vargas Street, where a 40-year-old Ecuadorian woman had received a visit from her ex-partner despite a court order prohibiting him from approaching her. According to police sources, the woman's nephew learned that the man was in the apartment and went there armed with a large machete.
During the confrontation, the young man began attacking his aunt's ex-boyfriend with a machete, inflicting multiple serious injuries.
When the police arrived, neighbors told officers that a machete fight was taking place between two people in the ground floor apartment. Within minutes, they arrested the aggressor, who was wielding a large machete, and assisted the Colombian man, who was covered in blood, with multiple wounds and an amputation of his left forearm. Once the machete, which contained abundant blood, was secured, it was taken for forensic analysis.
Paramedics transported the injured man in critical condition to the University Hospital, where he underwent emergency surgery.
The young aggressor was arrested as the alleged perpetrator of attempted homicide and illegal possession of a firearm.
