Greater Manchester Police confirmed to Bullying Without Borders that the girl was arrested at the scene after stabbing two students, a 14-year-old boy and girl, and a 27-year-old staff member in an apparent act of violence triggered by bullying.
An hour after the stabbing, a large crowd of students, parents, and bystanders gathered outside the school.
Many parents stated they had received no information from the school and were forced to piece together what happened from text messages and calls from their children, who remained in their classrooms.
Chaos at Manchester School:
James C., the father of a student at Co-op School in Blackley, told Bullying Without Borders that he learned of the stabbing and rushed to find his daughter. When he arrived at the school, he found a scene of total chaos, with school staff going in and out, while the police prevented anyone from approaching and made it impossible to get any information. Fortunately, James's daughter was unharmed, and they were reunited in a hug a few minutes later.
The three injured people are hospitalized in a local hospital, awaiting a favorable outcome.
