🔎 ¿Qué pasó?
Según fuentes consultadas por JMH, la desvinculación fue inmediata y no habría existido un acuerdo entre las partes, pese a que Florencia mantenía un contrato formal con el canal.
🎙️ El rol de la producción
De acuerdo con las mismas fuentes, la información errónea no dependía exclusivamente de la conductora, ya que la producción del programa era responsabilidad del canal. La noticia fue emitida al aire sin haber sido verificada previamente.
⚖️ Despido inmediato
Tras finalizar la transmisión —en la que luego se ofrecieron disculpas por la información falsa—, Florencia recibió la notificación de que no continuaría en el canal. Florencia Peña, host of a program on the Buenos Aires-based streaming channel Luzu TV, spread a terrible piece of fake news this Thursday: "Listen, I don't want to break bad news, but Messi's father just died. Messi's father just died. But it was sudden, or what happened?" the actress said in an erratic and unprofessional tone, addressing one of her producers with a question.
"What's the information, Maggie? That's tough, isn't it? Right in the middle of the World Cup. He's going to have to leave..."
Then one of Peña's producers added:
"There are a lot of rumors going around everywhere, it's being written on Twitter, it hasn't been confirmed by any media outlet, nothing. We're clarifying this just in case... We also apologize on behalf of the production team, as we posted it before we had finished checking it," the producer said.
Nicolás Ochiatto, owner of Luzu TV, who is in the United States following the Argentine national team, called what happened "unacceptable." Shortly after, it was revealed that all members of the program had been fired.
A terrible piece of fake news that reflects poorly on all journalism in Argentina because this kind of thing should never happen.

Acaba de morir el papá de Messi. Pero fue de golpe, ¿o qué pasó?", dijo en tono errático y poco profesional la actriz, que le lanzó una pregunta a una de sus productoras. Después agregó una productora de Peña:
"Hay un montón de rumores en todos lados, se está escribiendo en Twitter, no está confirmado por ningún medio, nada. Lo aclaramos por las dudas... Pedimos disculpas también de la producción, que lo tiramos antes de terminar de chequearlo", dijo la productora.
Nicolás Ochiatto, dueño de "Luzu TV", que está en Estados Unidos siguiendo a la selección argentina, calificó de "inadmisible" lo sucedido. Poco después se conocía que todos los integrantes del programa fueron despedidos.
Una fake news terrible que deja mal parado a todo el periodismo de Argentina porque este tipo de cosas nunca pueden pasar.
