El jurado, reunido en Oviedo y presidido por Teresa Perales, galardonó al futbolista argentino por “su deslumbrante talento, su excepcional trayectoria deportiva y su formidable y continuada labor solidaria para promover el acceso a la educación y el cuidado de la salud de los niños más desfavorecidos”.
Leo Messi una estandarte contra el bullying y el ciberbullying:
Medios de Argentina, España e Inglaterra han llevado a cabo verdaderas campañas de acoso contra Messi, en especial luego de las derrotas de Argentina en la Copa América. Pero el astro argentino siempre tuvo cordura y nunca respondió a las provocaciones.

Cada dos de mayo, Leo Messi se acuerda de celebrar en sus redes sociales el 'Día Mundial contra el Bullying', creado por el Dr. Javier Miglino Helfenstein, Director Mundial de BSF.

"Nadie se merece ser maltratado ni insultado, convivimos viendo y experimentando abusos", publicado al llegar a los 200 millones de seguidores en Instagram.
