LOS ANGELES — JUNE 20 — JMH International Consortium of Journalists — Jameson was the heart and soul of Marie Marseille and Jeremiah Garcia. He was shot and killed by an officer of the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD). A neighbor of Marie's called the police to check on her after hearing her scream from her apartment, and it was later discovered that she was celebrating the Knicks' NBA championship victory. When the LAPD arrived, Jameson came out to greet them but posed no threat. However, the officer in charge of the operation shot him point-blank, killing him instantly, as evidenced by the officer's own body camera.
Mayor Bass contacted the JMH International Consortium of Journalists and stated that she has requested a "thorough and transparent" investigation, while LAPD Chief McDonnell promised a transparent and multi-level review of the tragedy.
A police investigation is underway.

Una vecina de Marie llamó a la policía para que verificaran su estado tras oírla gritar desde su apartamento, y posteriormente se descubrió que estaba celebrando la victoria de los Knicks en el campeonato de la NBA. Al llegar la LAPD, Jameson salió a recibirlos pero sin representar amenaza alguna sin embargo el policía a cargo del operativo le disparó a mansalva, matándolo en el acto según la propia cámara corporal del agente lo prueba.
La alcaldesa Bass se comunicó con el Consorcio Internacional de Periodistas JMH y manifestó que ha pedido una investigación "exhaustiva y transparente", mientras que el jefe del LAPD, McDonnell, prometió un examen transparente y a varios niveles de la tragedia.
