LONDON, June 10. International Consortium of Journalists JMH – Belfast in Northern Ireland, United Kingdom, is the scene of chaos and violence after a 30-year-old Sudanese man attempted to behead a person in the street. The attacker is in custody.
Local police confirmed to the International Consortium JMH that they do not know the motives for the attack.
Violence erupts:
The attack was seen by millions of people on social media, who took to the streets to protest. A bus and several cars and homes were set on fire by demonstrators protesting the authorities' leniency towards non-white criminals.
The attack also comes amid ongoing controversy over the police handling of the case of Henry Nowak, a white British citizen who was stabbed to death in December in the city of Southampton by Vickrum Singh, a Sikh of Indian origin. On that occasion, the police not only believed the criminal's version of events—in which he insisted he was the victim—but even failed to provide medical assistance to a dying Nowak, who bled to death.
The UK Prime Minister's Statement:
British Prime Minister Keir Starmer stated: "Nothing can justify the violence and rioting we have seen, which threaten our communities, nor the actions of those who have encouraged it, whether online or elsewhere. It is clear that people were targeted last night because of where they come from, and I will not tolerate that," he added.

Estalla la violencia:
El ataque fue visto por millones de personas en las redes sociales, que se volcaron a las calles a protestar. Un autobús y varios coches y viviendas fueron incendiados por manifestantes que protestaban por la permisividad de las autoridades frente a delincuentes que no son blancos.
El ataque llegó además cuando no se ha apagado la controversia por la actuación policial en el caso de Henry Nowak, un ciudadano inglés y de raza blanca que fue apuñalado en diciembre hasta la muerte en la ciudad de Southampton por Vickrum Singh, por un sij de origen indio. En aquella ocasión, los policías no solo creyeron la versión del criminal—que insistía en que él era la víctima—sino que, incluso, no prestaron ayuda médica a un agonizante Nowak, que murió desangrado.
