メキシコ西部ミチョアカン州では、数週間前に15歳の生徒オスメル容疑者がラサロ・カルデナス市の私立学校で教師2人を銃撃して死亡させた事件の衝撃が今も続いている。捜査当局によると、容疑者は犯行前にインスタグラムで襲撃を予告していた。
事件はアントン・マカレンコ高等学校で発生した。当局によると、容疑者は高威力の5.56ミリ口径ライフルを使用し、その銃を持った写真を事件前にソーシャルメディアへ投稿していた。犯行後、ミチョアカン州警察によって身柄を拘束された。

また学校は、容疑者は入学して間もない生徒であり、退学処分を受けたこともなく、事件につながるような問題行動も確認されていなかったとして、事件後にSNSで広まった憶測を否定した。
メキシコのクラウディア・シェインバウム大統領は、この事件を「さまざまな意味で非常に痛ましい」と表現し、初期捜査では容疑者が犯行を計画し、特定の教師を狙っていた可能性が示されていると述べた。また、責任追及だけでなく、同様の事件を防ぐための包括的な対策が必要だと強調した。
大統領はさらに、若者を対象とした精神保健支援プログラムを政府として大幅に強化していると明らかにした。
防犯カメラの映像によると、容疑者は午前8時前に校内へ入り、直後に教師1人へ発砲し、その後避難しようとした別の教師を追いかけたという。
その後、地元警察と州・連邦当局が緊急通報を受けて現場に急行し、さらなる被害者を出すことなく容疑者を逮捕した。

Shock continues across the western Mexican state of Michoacán following the fatal shooting carried out several weeks ago by a 15-year-old student identified as Osmer, who allegedly killed two teachers at a private school in the city of Lázaro Cárdenas after announcing the attack in advance on Instagram.
The double homicide occurred at Antón Makarenko Preparatory School. According to investigators, the teenager used a high-powered 5.56-caliber rifle, with which he had previously posed in photographs posted on social media. He was arrested shortly after the attack by officers of the Michoacán State Police.
The Michoacán State Attorney General's Office told the JMH International Consortium of Journalists that a criminal investigation has been opened and identified the victims as María del Rosario S., 36, and Tatiana Bedolla, 37.
In a statement, school officials said: "Today we have not only lost two colleagues, but two lives that were part of our history, our daily lives, and the very essence that united us as an educational family."
The school also stated that the student had only recently enrolled, had never been expelled, and had shown no previous disciplinary issues that could have anticipated the attack, contradicting rumors that circulated on social media after the shooting.
Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum described the case as "deeply painful in many ways," saying preliminary findings suggest the teenager had prepared the attack and specifically targeted the two teachers. She added that the case requires a comprehensive response that extends beyond criminal punishment in order to prevent similar tragedies.
She also announced that her administration is expanding a nationwide mental health program aimed at adolescents and young people.
Security camera footage reportedly shows the student entering the school shortly before 8:00 a.m. and immediately opening fire on one teacher before chasing a second teacher as she attempted to flee.
Local police, together with state and federal security forces, responded within minutes to an emergency call and arrested the suspect without further casualties.

Continúa la conmoción en el estado mexicano de Michoacán tras el ataque armado perpetrado hace unas semanas por un estudiante de 15 años, identificado como Osmer, quien presuntamente asesinó a tiros a dos docentes en una escuela privada de la ciudad de Lázaro Cárdenas, después de haber anunciado el atentado en la red social Instagram.
El doble homicidio ocurrió en la Escuela Preparatoria Antón Makarenko. De acuerdo con la investigación, el adolescente utilizó un fusil calibre 5.56 de alta potencia, con el que previamente se había fotografiado en una publicación en redes sociales. Tras el ataque, fue detenido por efectivos de la Policía de Michoacán.
La Fiscalía General del Estado informó al Consorcio Internacional de Periodistas JMH que abrió una investigación e identificó a las víctimas como María del Rosario S., de 36 años, y Tatiana Bedolla, de 37.
En un comunicado, las autoridades de la Escuela Preparatoria Antón Makarenko expresaron: "Hoy no solo nos arrebataron a dos compañeras, sino a dos vidas que formaban parte de nuestra historia, de nuestro día a día y de la esencia que nos une como familia educativa".
La institución señaló además que el alumno era de reciente ingreso, que no había sido expulsado y que no existían antecedentes de conflictos que permitieran anticipar la agresión, desmintiendo versiones difundidas en redes sociales tras el ataque.
La presidenta de México, Claudia Sheinbaum, calificó el hecho como "muy doloroso en varios sentidos" y afirmó que las primeras investigaciones indican que el adolescente habría preparado el ataque y buscado específicamente a las víctimas. Agregó que el caso debe abordarse de manera integral, más allá de la sanción penal, con el objetivo de evitar que hechos similares vuelvan a ocurrir.
La mandataria anunció además que su gobierno impulsa un amplio programa de atención a la salud mental dirigido a adolescentes y jóvenes.
Según las imágenes de las cámaras de seguridad, el estudiante ingresó al establecimiento poco antes de las 8:00 de la mañana y abrió fuego contra una de las docentes apenas entró al edificio. Posteriormente persiguió a la segunda profesora mientras intentaba ponerse a resguardo.
Minutos después, agentes de la policía local y fuerzas estatales y federales respondieron a una llamada de emergencia y lograron detener al sospechoso sin que se registraran más víctimas.
