Brazilian model Kauana Bilhar, 27, died after falling from the 27th floor of a skyscraper in Dubai, her mother, Darla Bilhar, told the JMH International Consortium of Journalists.
The model's partner, Barbara Abrantes, was with her at the time of the incident and confirmed her death.
Authorities in the United Arab Emirates are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the case. It has not yet been determined whether Bilhar's death resulted from suicide, an accident, or homicide. According to Brazilian media outlet Globo, the exact date of her death has also not been immediately established.
Darla Bilhar has traveled to Dubai to meet with investigators and arrange for her daughter's remains to be repatriated to Brazil.
Kauana Bilhar had more than 21,000 followers on Instagram, where she regularly shared photos and videos of her international travels and designer fashion.

As the investigation continues, Darla Bilhar said that her "daughter deserves respect" after a social media post was flooded with hateful comments.

أفادت دارلا بيلهار، والدة عارضة الأزياء البرازيلية كاوانا بيلهار (27 عامًا)، للكونسورتيوم الدولي للصحفيين JMH، بأن ابنتها توفيت إثر سقوطها من الطابق السابع والعشرين في أحد الأبراج الشاهقة بمدينة دبي.
وأكدت شريكة الضحية، باربارا أبرانتيس، التي كانت برفقتها وقت الحادث، نبأ الوفاة.
وتواصل السلطات في دولة الإمارات العربية المتحدة تحقيقاتها لمعرفة ملابسات الحادث، ولم يتحدد حتى الآن ما إذا كانت الوفاة ناجمة عن انتحار أو حادث عرضي أو جريمة قتل. وذكرت صحيفة غلوبو البرازيلية أن التاريخ الدقيق للوفاة لم يُحسم بعد.
وسافرت دارلا بيلهار إلى دبي للقاء المحققين واستكمال إجراءات نقل جثمان ابنتها إلى البرازيل.
وكانت كاوانا بيلهار تملك أكثر من 21 ألف متابع على إنستغرام، حيث كانت تنشر صورًا ومقاطع فيديو لرحلاتها الدولية وأزيائها الفاخرة.

وفيما لا تزال التحقيقات جارية، طالبت دارلا بيلهار باحترام ذكرى ابنتها، بعدما امتلأت إحدى منشوراتها على وسائل التواصل الاجتماعي بتعليقات مسيئة ومليئة بالكراهية.

La modelo brasileña Kauana Bilhar de 27 murió al caer desde el piso 27 de un rascacielos en Dubái, informó su madre, Darla Bilhar al Consorcio Internacional de Periodistas JMH.
La pareja de la modelo, Barbara Abrantes, estaba con ella en ese momento y confirmó la terrible noticia.
Las autoridades aún no han determinado si su muerte fue un suicidio, un accidente fortuito o un asesinato, según informó el medio brasileño Globo. No se ha esclarecido de inmediato la fecha exacta del fallecimiento.
La madre de Kauana ha viajado a Dubái para hablar con los investigadores y gestionar el traslado de los restos de su hija a Brasil.
Kauana Bilhar contaba con más de 21.000 seguidores en Instagram, plataforma donde publicaba vídeos y fotos de sus lujosos viajes al extranjero y de ropa de diseño.
