"Es imprescindible actuar ahora mismo contra las mafias que movilizan migrantes para ingresar de manera irregular en otros Estados. España no merece la situación que está atravesando, ni tampoco las familias de las 50 personas fallecidas hasta el momento. El deseo de alcanzar una vida mejor en términos económicos, políticos y sociales no justifica que miles de personas sean expuestas a travesías extremadamente peligrosas por el mar Mediterráneo. Continuar en silencio o encubrir a las redes de trata de personas que operan en Marruecos, así como en México, Venezuela, Perú y Colombia, solo fortalece a estas organizaciones criminales", afirmó Miglino.

Dr. Javier Miglino, an expert in Human Rights and Child Protection, called for immediate action against criminal organizations involved in human trafficking and migrant smuggling that facilitate irregular migration to various countries.
"It is imperative to act immediately against the criminal networks that move migrants across borders irregularly. Spain does not deserve the situation it is facing, nor do the families of the 50 people reported dead so far. The desire to achieve a better economic, political and social future does not justify exposing thousands of people to extremely dangerous crossings in the Mediterranean Sea. Remaining silent or shielding human trafficking networks operating in Morocco, as well as in Mexico, Venezuela, Peru and Colombia, only strengthens these criminal organizations," Miglino said.
