Inglaterra, España (UEFA), México y Colombia (CONMEBOL) han exigido una sanción ejemplar. Siguiendo el criterio de Heysel que mantiene la FIFA; Argentina será eliminada de las copas por 10 años. La única salida es que Argentina pierda el partido hoy y que no haya violencia. De ganar, aténganse a las consecuencias”.
Ese habría sido el monólogo aproximado de parte de un encargado de la FIFA a la Selección Nacional de Argentina; 60 segundos antes de saltar al campo de juego en la final falsa de Argentina - España.
Por eso 82.500 personas vieron en el estadio de Nueva Jersey a un muchacho parecido a Lionel Messi que en realidad no era Messi. Por eso los jugadores de Argentina pasaron de ser los mejores del mundo en el segundo tiempo contra Inglaterra, apenas 72 horas antes, a ser el peor equipo de todos los tiempos. Por eso Lionel Scaloni hizo todo tipo de cambios; con dos defensores 'lesionados' en una final; algo que nunca ocurrió desde 1930; para que la Península Ibérica tenga su copa y su festejo.

“With the flag displayed (a hotel sheet painted with spray paint) reading THE MALVINAS ARE ARGENTINIAN, you incited collective violence, and there were not hundreds of deaths only by sheer chance. England, Spain (UEFA), Mexico, and Colombia (CONMEBOL) have demanded exemplary punishment. Following the Heysel precedent upheld by FIFA, Argentina will be eliminated from the cups for 10 years. The only way out is for Argentina to lose today’s match and for there to be no violence. If you win, face the consequences.”
That would have been the approximate monologue delivered by a FIFA official to the Argentina National Team 60 seconds before they took the field in the fake Argentina–Spain final.
That is why 82,500 people at the New Jersey stadium saw a young man resembling Lionel Messi who was not actually Messi. That is why Argentina’s players went from being the best in the world in the second half against England, just 72 hours earlier, to becoming the worst team of all time. That is why Lionel Scaloni made all sorts of changes, including playing with two “injured” defenders in a final—something that had never happened since 1930—so that the Iberian Peninsula could have its cup and its celebration.
