タイ北西部ノンタブリー県のデブシリン・ノンタブリー中等学校で6日、銃撃事件が発生し、容疑者を含む少なくとも8人が死亡、30人が負傷した。地元警察がJMH国際記者コンソーシアムに確認した。
警察によると、14歳の男子生徒とされる容疑者は校内で7人を射殺した後、自ら命を絶ったという。アヌティン・チャーンウィラクン首相は事件に深い衝撃を受けたと表明し、被害者支援と捜査のため利用可能なあらゆる資源を投入するよう指示した。
事件後、警察は容疑者が同居していた73歳と74歳の祖父母の遺体を自宅で発見した。捜査当局は、容疑者が学校へ向かう前に2人を殺害した可能性が高いとみている。

Las autoridades informaron que el presunto autor, un estudiante de 14 años, habría matado a siete personas dentro del establecimiento antes de quitarse la vida. El primer ministro, Anutin Charnvirakul, expresó su consternación por la tragedia y ordenó el despliegue de todos los recursos disponibles para asistir a las víctimas y avanzar con la investigación.
Tras el ataque, la policía encontró sin vida a los abuelos del adolescente, de 73 y 74 años, en la vivienda que compartían. Los investigadores consideran que ambos habrían sido asesinados antes de que el menor se dirigiera al centro educativo.
El episodio es considerado el ataque más grave registrado en Tailandia desde 2022, cuando un exagente de policía asesinó a más de 30 personas, en su mayoría niños, en un centro de educación infantil.

At least eight people, including the suspected gunman, were killed and 30 others injured on Wednesday in a shooting at Debsirin Nonthaburi Secondary School in Nonthaburi Province, northwest of Bangkok, local police confirmed to the International Consortium of Journalists JMH.
Authorities said the suspected attacker, a 14-year-old student, fatally shot seven people inside the school before taking his own life. Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul expressed deep sorrow over the tragedy and ordered all available resources to be deployed to assist victims and support the investigation.
Following the shooting, police found the bodies of the teenager's grandparents, aged 73 and 74, at the home they shared. Investigators believe they were killed before the suspect went to the school.
The attack is regarded as Thailand's deadliest mass shooting since 2022, when a former police officer killed more than 30 people, most of them children, at a childcare center.
Authorities are pursuing several lines of inquiry into the motive. Speaking at a news conference, Prime Minister Anutin said investigators are examining whether the teenager had been under severe academic stress and are also looking into reports that he may have experienced bullying, based on information gathered from interviews with people close to him.
