A heroic police officer in Buenos Aires managed to shoot and kill three criminals. The young officer was traveling with his partner, also a Buenos Aires City police officer, to their home in the Rafael Castillo neighborhood of La Matanza, Buenos Aires province, when they were confronted by five criminals who wanted to steal their car. The officers shot three of them dead and wounded a fourth.
Both officers defended themselves with their issued firearms.
Four of the assailants approached the man who was driving, while one confronted the woman. The police officer immediately opened fire, killing three of them, while the woman managed to fire at the criminals who were leaving in the getaway vehicle and wounded another.
Police sources confirmed to the International Consortium of JMH Journalists that the three dead criminals were Kevin Matías Martínez, 18; Walter Gabriel Ponce, 22; and Rodrigo Alejandro Vargas, also 22.
The fourth assailant, a 17-year-old identified by the initials T.N.G., was seriously wounded on the sidewalk and taken to Paroissien Hospital in Isidro Casanova, where he remains in critical condition.
Prosecutor Claudio Fornaro, of the La Matanza Homicide Prosecutor’s Office, led the forensic investigation during the early morning hours and determined that the officers had acted in legitimate self-defense, under Article 34 of the Argentine Criminal Code.

El muchacho iba con su pareja, también policía de la Ciudad de Buenos Aires, a su casa en el barrio Rafael Castillo, La Matanza, provincia de Buenos Aires, cuando fueron abordados por cinco criminales que querían robarles el auto. Los oficiales abatieron a tres e hirieron a un cuarto.

Cuatro delincuentes fueron hacia el hombre que conducía y uno contra la mujer. El policía disparó de inmediato y mató a tres, mientras que la mujer logró disparar contra los delincuentes que se iban en el auto de apoyo e hirió a uno más.
Las fuentes policiales confirmaron al Consorcio Internacional de Periodistas JMH que los criminales abatidos eran: Kevin Matías Martínez, de 18 años; Walter Gabriel Ponce, de 22; y Rodrigo Alejandro Vargas, de la misma edad.
Por su parte, el cuarto asaltante, un adolescente de 17 años identificado con las iniciales T.N.G., resultó gravemente herido en la vereda y fue trasladado al Hospital Paroissien, en Isidro Casanova, donde permanece en estado grave.
El fiscal Claudio Fornaro, de la UFI Temática Homicidios de La Matanza, estuvo al frente de las pericias durante la madrugada y determinó que los agentes actuaron en legítima defensa, conforme al artículo 34 del Código Penal Argentino.

4人の犯人が運転していた男性に向かい、1人が女性に向かった。男性警察官は直ちに発砲して3人を射殺した。一方、女性警察官は、逃走用の車で立ち去ろうとしていた犯人たちに発砲し、そのうち1人を負傷させた。
警察筋はJMH国際ジャーナリスト・コンソーシアムに対し、射殺された3人はケビン・マティアス・マルティネス（18歳）、ワルテル・ガブリエル・ポンセ（22歳）、ロドリゴ・アレハンドロ・バルガス（22歳）だったと確認した。
4人目の強盗犯である17歳の少年は、イニシャルT.N.G.と特定され、歩道上で重傷を負った。少年はイスidro・カサノバのパロイシアン病院に搬送され、重篤な状態となっている。
ラ・マタンサ郡の殺人事件担当検察局（UFI）のクラウディオ・フォルナロ検察官は、未明に行われた鑑識捜査を指揮し、警察官らの行為はアルゼンチン刑法第34条に基づく正当防衛に当たると判断した。
