tras registrar un aumento de 104.178 personas durante el segundo trimestre del año, según los datos oficiales de población. Con ese incremento, el país situó su población en 49.801.559 habitantes al 1 de julio de 2026, el nivel más alto desde que existen registros estadísticos.
El crecimiento demográfico estuvo impulsado principalmente por el aumento de residentes nacidos en el extranjero, mientras que la población nacida en España continuó mostrando una tendencia descendente, reflejando el peso de la inmigración en la evolución poblacional del país.
