Luigi Mangione admitted to shooting an insurance executive after pleading guilty in federal court. By doing so, he avoids the death penalty, which was considered a strong possibility given the circumstances of the case.
Luigi Mangione said he manufactured a firearm using a 3D printer and attached a suppressor to it. “I shot Mr. Thompson in Manhattan,” he told the judge as he entered his plea.
