Marido de Celia Cuccittini, padre de Lionel, Rodrigo, Matías y María Sol, Jorge fue el pilar para la estelar carrera futbolística de su hijo. Fue el líder de familia que se convirtió en guía y se encargó de comandar todas sus obligaciones fuera del campo de juego. Fue el que peleó por conseguir el tratamiento necesario para Leo cuando era apenas un juvenil de Newell’s, intentó en River que no se hacía cargo del costoso tratamiento médico con hormonas de crecimiento y por fin recaló en el Barcelona, club que sí se hizo cargo.La anécdota de la prueba de idoneidad:
"Lionel llegó con su padre al Camp Nou para una prueba de idoneidad como jugador de futbol. Ingresó a los 20 minutos del primer tiempo para su equipo y marcó tres goles en solo 22 minutos. Fue reemplazado pera ya estaba adentro. El entrenador del Barcelona y verdadero head hunter, lo vio y lo quiso de inmediato. Als Ehemann von Celia Cuccittini und Vater von Lionel, Rodrigo, Matías und María Sol war Jorge die tragende Säule der herausragenden Fußballkarriere seines Sohnes.
