On World Day Against Bullying 2021 (May 2, 2021), we received thousands of greetings from around the world, but one of them left us perplexed. A person, from afar, sent an image in yellow that today has become part of the cultural heritage of Bullying Sin Fronteras, together with this text:
“Bullying is an endless moral punishment and physical punishment. The world must stand up against this terrible scourge that attacks children and young people. My recognition to the orange ‘hogo shirudo’ (protective shields) of Bullying Sin Fronteras. They fight alone.” Tokyo. May 2, 2021. Yayoi Kusama.
We had never been called that before: “hogo shirudo,” or “protective shields.” But suddenly, and to my surprise, I realized that it was exactly what I had in mind on May 2, 2012, the legendary night when I created Bullying Sin Fronteras: “If we can become a protective shield against bullying, we will succeed.”
This is our recognition of Yayoi Kusama, a woman who helped us continue fighting alone. We will never forget her.

El Día Mundial contra el Bullying de 2021 (2 de mayo de 2021), recibimos miles de saludos desde todo el mundo, pero uno de ellos nos dejó perplejos. Una persona, desde la distancia, enviaba una imagen en color amarillo que hoy ya es patrimonio cultural de Bullying Sin Fronteras y, junto a la imagen, este texto:
“El bullying es un castigo moral y un castigo físico infinito. El mundo a ponerse de pie contra este flagelo terrible que ataca a niños y jóvenes. Mi reconocimiento a los ‘hogo shirudo’ (escudos protectores) de color naranja de Bullying Sin Fronteras. Ellos pelean solos”. Tokio. 2 de mayo de 2021. Yayoi Kusama.
Nunca nos habían llamado así: “hogo shirudo” o “escudos protectores”. Pero, de pronto y con sorpresa, noté que era exactamente lo que tenía en mente el 2 de mayo de 2012, la mítica noche en que creé Bullying Sin Fronteras: “Si logramos ser un escudo protector contra el bullying, tendremos éxito”.
El reconocimiento a Yayoi Kusama, una mujer que nos ayudó a seguir peleando solos. Nunca la olvidaremos.

2021年の世界いじめ反対デー（2021年5月2日）、私たちは世界中から何千ものメッセージを受け取りました。しかし、その中の一つには、私たちは言葉を失いました。遠く離れた場所から、ある人物が黄色い色の画像を送ってきたのです。その画像は、今日では「Bullying Sin Fronteras（国境なきいじめ対策）」の文化的遺産ともいえるものになっています。そして、その画像には次の文章が添えられていました。

私たちは、それまで「ホゴ・シルード」、つまり「守る盾」と呼ばれたことは一度もありませんでした。しかし、その言葉を目にした瞬間、私は驚きとともに気づきました。それは、2012年5月2日、私がBullying Sin Fronterasを創設した伝説的な夜に、まさに私が心の中で思い描いていたものだったのです。
