Era hija de Mauricio Itzcovich, piloto de rally que en 2023 decidió poner fin a su carrera deportiva para acompañar la trayectoria de sus dos hijos: Matilde y Manuel, también kartista.
Matilde comenzó en el karting a los 13 años, cuando durante una reunión familiar expresó su deseo de competir. Comenzó asistiendo a un karting indoor, donde su propietario le dijo que tenía condiciones para llegar más lejos. Después de meses de insistencia, consiguió que le dieran una oportunidad. Se formó en la escuela del expiloto Raúl Bruschi y, desde su primera carrera, no volvió a detenerse.
La Federación Uruguaya de Karting envió un comunicado a la Organización Mundial Bullying Sin Fronteras expresando su “más hondo pesar” y acompañando a la familia Itzcovich en este momento de profundo dolor.

She was the daughter of Mauricio Itzcovich, a rally driver who in 2023 decided to end his own racing career in order to support the careers of his two children: Matilde and Manuel, who also competed in karting.
Matilde began karting at the age of 13, when she told her family during a gathering that she wanted to race. She first went to an indoor karting track, where the owner told her she had the ability to go further. After months of persistence, she was given the opportunity to prove herself. She trained at the school of former driver Raúl Bruschi and, from her first race onward, never looked back.
The Uruguayan Karting Federation sent a statement to the World Organization Bullying Sin Fronteras expressing its “deepest sorrow” and standing alongside the Itzcovich family during this painful time.
“To her family, friends and loved ones, we extend our most sincere condolences, as well as our affection and solidarity in this difficult circumstance. May she rest in peace,” the federation said.
