A 17-year-old girl reportedly endured a serious case of bullying during a school graduation trip to Bariloche organized by the private Pía Didoménico School.

One of the alleged aggressors appeared in a video that she herself circulated on social media. Argentine media outlets subsequently reproduced the video in its entirety. In the recording, the student, wearing makeup reminiscent of the Joker character, describes an incident in which she poured a glass of water over her classmate.

“I took the whole glass, looked at her and did this,” she said, mimicking the act of tipping it over. “I stayed like that until the glass was empty. I kept pouring it over her. The girl did nothing; she just stood there while the water fell on her.”

In the same account, the student described mocking her classmate at a nightclub, including chants and insults referring to an intimate video that had previously been circulated without consent.

“We started singing things about her, saying she should dye her hair and making comments about her stomach,” she said, before describing taunts related to the private sexual video. She added that the girl began crying.

The student also recounted what happened after the victim returned to the hotel where the group was staying.

“They told us she had just had a psychotic episode, that she was putting her fingers in her eyes and pulling out her hair. I was laughing. I was enjoying it,” she said.

The student further acknowledged that the mistreatment had been systematic, both during the trip and at school in Catamarca. She described repeatedly insulting and humiliating her classmate whenever an opportunity arose.

The Pía Didoménico Private Secondary School issued a statement saying that it had acted responsibly and promptly after learning of the events and had referred the matter to the Ministry of Education and Labor.

THE SCHOOL'S RESPONSE UNDER REVIEW

CATAMARCA, OCTOBER 24, 2026 — AIRE BSF

The Ministry of Education and Labor of Catamarca has opened an administrative investigation into the Pía Didoménico Private School to determine how the institution responded to allegations of bullying and the non-consensual circulation of intimate material involving students.

The education authorities are also considering possible sanctions and have requested a detailed report, supporting documentation and a plan to protect the students involved while ensuring continuity in their education. The administrative investigation is intended to establish whether the school fulfilled its obligations, without prejudging individual responsibility.

The victim, an 18-year-old student, reported being subjected to mockery and aggression during a graduation trip to Bariloche.

The allegations are connected to an earlier complaint concerning the alleged unauthorized acquisition and distribution of private images stored on the student's mobile phone. According to information reported about the case, three adolescents were charged in connection with the alleged production and distribution of sexually explicit representations of a person under 18. The charges do not constitute convictions, and individual responsibility remains to be determined through the judicial process.

Meanwhile, the Criminal Investigation Prosecutor's Office No. 7 is investigating the separate allegations of harassment. The 18-year-old student featured in the video had been reported in connection with the alleged bullying but, according to the information available when the article was published, had not been formally charged in that investigation.

The institutional response

In its public statement, the school said it had acted responsibly and promptly after becoming aware of the situation and had worked with the relevant education authorities.

The Ministry reported that teams responsible for private education, school mediation and institutional coordination visited the school, reviewed documentation and requested information about the measures taken. Officials also required a plan to protect the students and safeguard their continued education.

The investigations are ongoing. The allegations must be assessed through the appropriate administrative and judicial procedures, with due respect for the rights and privacy of everyone involved.
