How did 'World Anti-Bullying Day' come about?
A date now considered historic, celebrated in more than 180 countries, its objective is to raise awareness about bullying and cyberbullying, protecting more than 1 billion primary and secondary school students worldwide. It was approved by UNESCO on May 2, 2016.
As of 2026, Bullying Without Borders has become the world's leading organization against bullying and cyberbullying.

Dr. Javier Miglino Helfenstein, an expert in Human Rights and Child Protection, said:
"Bullying thrives on three poisons: loneliness, sadness, and fear. We must create a 'World Day Against Bullying.' By giving global visibility to bullying, we can defeat it, saving millions of lives along the way. I invite everyone to join us. It will be observed every May 2nd, a date that coincides with school days across the globe, in both the Northern and Southern Hemispheres. Within hours, thousands of human rights NGOs worldwide would join in. And Spain would be the first country to officially recognize it."
In 2016, UNESCO eliminated the minimum requirement of 25 years of prior study on the issue and approved it by acclamation in just 40 minutes.

Today, the World Organization Bullying Without Borders is seen by specialists, universities, ministries of education, governments, specialized media, children, adolescents, parents, and teachers worldwide as a landmark in the fight against school bullying.

On May 2, 2012, in the City of Buenos Aires, a group of twenty professionals—including psychiatrists, pediatricians, general practitioners, psychologists, educational psychologists, educators, journalists, and economists—led by the Argentine lawyer and journalist Javier Miglino, an expert in Human Rights and Child Protection, decided to say: Enough! To school bullying and created the NGO Bullying Without Borders, later the International NGO Bullying Without Borders, and since 2025 the World Organization Bullying Without Borders.

If bullying doesn't stop, neither will the help.
If bullying strikes children and teenagers in a remote location, help will arrive, without limits or borders. Hence our name.
Message for the victims:
"If bullying and cyberbullying never rest, neither will those of us who stand up for the children, teenagers, and young adults who suffer from them worldwide. And if bullying and cyberbullying attack, harm, and even kill without geographical limits, we will create, starting today, an NGO called Bullying Without Borders. This organization will be a source of support for thousands, even millions, around the world, who will no longer be victims of harassment suffered in isolation. Instead, they will have a helping hand that gives them courage, shows them their worth, and accompanies them through the long, dark night of bullying. In this way, all those who suffer harm related to bullying and cyberbullying anywhere on the planet will know that help will never be limited by borders or time zones, reaching every corner of the Earth."
A message for bullies:
Those who hurt and harm, and those who help cover up the harm, will know that they will no longer go unpunished and that there are people willing to help who will not rest until school bullying and cyberbullying are defeated in the Americas, Europe, Asia, Africa, and Oceania. Whether the harassment occurs in a prestigious, world-renowned educational institution or in the most modest school at the ends of the earth, those who spread hatred in the form of trolls or haters will no longer be unpunished. This NGO, Bullying Without Borders, will also aim to combat cyberbullying on existing and future social media platforms and throughout cyberspace.
Only in this way will we achieve the change the world needs.

The founders of Bullying Without Borders dream that this NGO will be the fraternal embrace that comforts and accompanies, and the strong arm that defends, respects, and ensures respect.
The founder of Bullying Without Borders established that the poisons that fuel bullying are:
loneliness
sadness
and fear
So, from today onward, they will no longer say that loneliness, sadness, and fear prevailed over that young person or child. They will say that there were brave souls who one day said: Enough of the violence! Then, and only then, can we say that we fight to protect the First Human Right, which is the Right to Life.
What color will distinguish the fight against bullying across the globe?
It will be the color orange. The color of a marvelous fruit that arrived from distant China, where it has been cultivated for thousands of years, from where it spread throughout Southeast Asia and then throughout the East thanks to the Silk Road. The Arabs introduced it to Europe through southern Spain in the 10th century. It reached Brazil, Argentina, Mexico, and the United States of America in the 19th century, and then South Africa and Australia, quickly encompassing the entire world. This will be the case for Bullying Without Borders, which will adopt orange as its emblem, because the color orange reflects joy and the will to endure; it is both flexible and firm. It is a color that illuminates and bestows joy and confidence upon those who use it.
The color orange is a kind judge that stands between furious red and implacable yellow. A kind of middle ground between passion and perfidy. If, for example, we were to eliminate orange from all the paintings and canvases of the great masters, the history of art would disappear. The sky above "The Scream," Edvard Munch's desolate painting, would fall.
Without orange, there would be no eternal glory of the Egyptian tombs nor the extraordinary beard of Vincent van Gogh's self-portraits.
Orange symbolizes the strength, affection, and trust that Bullying Without Borders will bring to its global fight against bullying and cyberbullying.

¿Cómo surgió el 'Día Mundial contra el Bullying?
Una fecha que hoy se considera histórica, acorde con que se celebra en más de 180 países y tiene como objetivo concienciar sobre el bullying y el ciberbullying, dando protección a más de 1.000 millones de alumnos de escuelas primarias y secundarias en todo el planeta. Fue aprobado por la UNESCO el 2/5/2016.
A partir de 2026, Bullying Sin Fronteras se ha convertido en la Organización Número Uno del Planeta contra el Bullying y el Ciberbullying.
La historia detrás de Bullying Sin Fronteras:
El Dr. Javier Miglino Helfenstein, Experto en Derechos Humanos y Protección de la Niñez, dijo:
"el bullying se nutre de tres venenos; la soledad, la tristeza y el miedo. Debemos crear un 'Día Mundial contra el Bullying'. Dando visibilidad mundial al bullying, podemos derrotarlo, salvando millones de vidas en el camino. Invito a sumarse a todos. Será el cada día dos de mayo, una fecha que tiene clases en todo el planeta, en el hemisferio Norte y en el hemisferio Sur. En pocas horas se sumarían miles de ONGs de Derechos Humanos en todo el planeta. Y España sería el primer país en reconocerlo oficialmente.".

Día de Fundación de la ONG Bullying Sin Fronteras.
Dr. Javier Miglino Helfenstein. Director: considerando que:
Si el bullying no descansa, la ayuda tampoco descansará.
Si el bullying ataca a niños y adolescentes en un lugar remoto, la ayuda llegará, sin límites ni fronteras. De ahí nuestro nombre.
Mensaje para las víctimas:
"Si el bullying o acoso escolar y el ciberbullying o acoso cibernético no descansan nunca, aquellos que salimos a defender a los niños, adolescentes y jóvenes que lo padecen en todo el mundo, tampoco descansaremos. Y si el bullying y el ciberbullying atacan, dañan e incluso llegan a matar sin límites geográficos, crearemos a partir de hoy una ONG llamada Bullying Sin Fronteras que será el punto de apoyo de miles e incluso de millones de en todo el mundo, que ya no serán víctimas de acoso que sufrirán en soledad, sino que contarán con una mano amiga que les de valor, les muestre cuánto valen y los acompañe en esa negra y larga noche que es el bullying. De ese modo todos aquellos que padecen un daño relacionado con el bullying y el ciberbullying en cualquier lugar del planeta, sabrán que la ayuda nunca será limitada por fronteras ni husos horarios, llegando a todos los confines de la Tierra.
Mensaje para los acosadores:
Aquellos que lastiman y dañan y aquellos que contribuyen a encubrir el daño, sabrán entonces que ya no serán impunes y que hay personas dispuestas a ayudar que no descansarán hasta que el acoso escolar y el acoso cibernético sean derrotados en América, Europa, Asia, Africa y Oceanía. Ya sea que el hostigamiento se produzca en un importante establecimiento educativo de fama mundial o en la más modesta escuela en el confín de la Tierra. Aquellos que odien bajo la forma de trolls o haters, ya no serán impunes, porque esta ONG llamada Bullying Sin Fronteras, también tendrá como objetivo atacar el ciberacoso o ciberbullying, en las redes sociales que existen o que se creen en el futuro y en todo el ciberespacio.
Solo de ese modo lograremos producir el cambio que el mundo necesita.

El insigne profesor sueco - noruego Dan Olweus descubrió al bullying. Ya sabemos al mal que nos enfrentamos. Nosotros debemos encontrar la cura para ese mal.

Los fundadores de Bullying Sin Fronteras soñamos que esta ONG sea el abrazo fraterno que consuela y acompaña y el brazo fuerte que defiende, respeta y hace respetar.
El fundador de Bullying Sin Fronteras, logró establecer que los venenos que nutren al bullying son:
la soledad
la tristeza
y el miedo
Entonces y partir de hoy, ya no dirán que la soledad, la tristeza y el miedo pudieron con ese joven o ese niño. Dirán que hubo valientes que un día dijeron: ¡Basta a la violencia! Entonces y solo entonces podremos decir que luchamos por proteger el Primer Derecho Humano que es el Derecho a la Vida.
¿Cuál será el color que distinguirá la lucha contra el bullying en todo el planeta?
Será el color naranja. El color de una fruta maravillosa que llegó desde la lejana China, donde se cultiva desde hace miles de años, desde donde se extendió por todo el Sudeste asiático y luego por todo Oriente merced a la Ruta de la Seda. Los árabes la introdujeron en Europa por el sur de España en el siglo X. Para llegar a Brasil, Argentina, México y los Estados Unidos de América en el siglo XIX, para luego pasar a Sudáfrica y Australia; abarcando en poco tiempo el mundo entero. Así será Bullying Sin Fronteras, que tomará como enseña el naranja, porque el color naranja refleja la alegría y la voluntad de permanecer en el tiempo, es flexible y firme a la vez. Es un color que ilumina y confiere alegría y confianza a aquel que lo usa.
El color naranja es un juez amable que se coloca entre el rojo furioso y el implacable amarillo. Una especie de término medio entre la pasión y la perfidia. Si por caso elimináramos el naranja de todos los cuadros y los lienzos de los grandes maestros, la historia del arte desaparecería. Se caería el cielo que está sobre "El grito", la desoladora pintura de Edvard Munch. Sin naranja no habría la eterna gloria de las tumbas egipcias ni la barba extraordinaria de los autorretratos de Vincent van Gogh.
El naranja simboliza la fuerza, el cariño y la confianza que dará Bullying Sin Fronteras en su lucha planetaria contra el bullying y el ciberbullying.
El color naranja será nuestro color, ahora y siempre.
