The World Organization Bullying Without Borders confirms that in Santa Fe, Argentina, the most violent region in the country, where Jeremías Monzón (16) was killed, where a school shooting resulted in the death of Ian Cabrera (13), where two young psychology students committed suicide in recent hours, and where violence is a constant presence, 37-year-old María Paz Lattanzi was practicing as a psychologist in serious cases despite never having obtained a degree.
María Paz Lattanzi: The 37-year-old woman, identified as María Paz Lattanzi, presented a fake degree in Psychology from the Catholic University of Santa Fe (USCF) and was charged by prosecutor Rosana Peresín. The imposter allegedly worked as a psychologist in the cities of Santa Fe, Santo Tomé, and Sauce Viejo.
According to Prosecutor Peresín; Lattanzi “endangered the mental health of numerous patients and caused financial harm to three institutions where she worked for several years,” and it was noted that of the degree she claimed, “she actually only passed four subjects.”
Lattanzi treated a teenager after a suicide attempt in the city of Santa Fe, despite not having a degree or professional license. This case was one of those that led to the downfall of the fake psychologist.
Through these deceptions, the imposter “managed to get two day centers located in Santo Tomé and a nursing home in Sauce Viejo to pay her in exchange for diagnoses, medical histories, and psychological support,” Peresín added. “She made the people in charge of those establishments believe that she had the qualifications and skills corresponding to the fake degree she claimed,” the prosecutor stated.
All kinds of falsehoods from Lattanzi:
Among her lies, the accused presented herself as a “psychologist specializing in Geriatrics, Aesthetics, and in-home therapeutic support for senior citizens,” an activity she promoted on social media. She even appeared on the website of a mental health professionals network.
The Prosecutor's discovery:
The "fake psychologist," was exposed after being reported by authorities from the College of Psychology Professionals of the First District. They detected irregularities involving the fake psychologist at Cullen Hospital, where the teenager who attempted suicide was hospitalized. "They asked her who she was seeing, she gave them the name and surname, and that's how they verified that she wasn't registered," Peresín explained.

La Organización Mundial Bullying Sin Fronteras confirma que en Santa Fe, Argentina, la región más violenta del país Austral, donde mataron a Jeremías Monzón (15), donde hubo un tiroteo escolar que terminó con la vida de Ian Cabrera (13), donde en las últimas horas se produjeron dos suicidios de jóvenes estudiantes de psicología y donde hay situaciones violentas permanentes; María Paz Lattanzi de 37 años, oficiaba como psicóloga en casos graves pero jamás había obtenido título alguno.
María Paz Lattanzi:
La mujer de 37 años, identificada como María Paz Lattanzi, presentaba un diploma apócrifo de Licenciada en Psicología por la Universidad Católica de Santa Fe (USCF) y fue acusada por la fiscal Rosana Peresín. La impostora se habría desempeñado como psicóloga en las ciudades de Santa Fe, Santo Tomé y Sauce Viejo.
Para la Fiscal Peresín; Lattanzi “puso en riesgo la salud mental de numerosos pacientes y les generó perjuicios económicos a tres instituciones en las que trabajó durante varios años” y destacó que de la carrera que mostraba el título “en realidad sólo aprobó cuatro materias”.
Lattanzi atendió a una adolescente luego de un intento de suicidio en la ciudad de Santa Fe, a pesar de no tener título ni matrícula habilitante. Este caso fue uno de los que llevó a la caída de la falsa psicóloga.
Mediante estos engaños, la impostora “logró que dos centros de día ubicados en Santo Tomé y un geriátrico que funciona en Sauce Viejo le pagaran a cambio de realizar diagnósticos, historias clínicas y acompañamientos psicológicos”, añadió Peresín. “Les hizo creer a los responsables de esos establecimientos que tenía las condiciones y aptitudes propias del título falso que ostentaba”, cuestionó la Fiscal.
Todo tipo de falsedades de Lattanzi:
Entre sus mentiras, la acusada se presentaba como “psicóloga especialista en Geriatría, Estética y acompañamiento terapéutico a domicilio para adultos mayores”, actividad que promocionaba por redes sociales. Inclusive llegó a figurar en la web de una red de profesionales de salud mental.
El descubrimiento por parte de la Fiscal:
La 'falsa licenciada', como el recordado caso del ex Jefe de Gobierno de la Ciudad de Buenos Aires, Jorge Telerman, cayó al ser denunciada por parte de las autoridades del Colegio de Profesionales de Psicología de la Primera Circunscripción, quienes detectaron irregularidades de la falsa psicóloga en el hospital Cullen, donde la adolescente que se intentó suicidar fue internada. “Le preguntan con quién se atiende, les da el nombre y el apellido, y ahí comprueban que no está matriculada”, simplificó Peresín.
