La Organización Mundial Bullying Sin Fronteras confirma la muerte por suicidio de Wendy de 15 años, una chica de Lomas de Zamora, Provincia de Buenos Aires que se quitó la vida arrojándose a las vías del tren. Estuvo desaparecida y su familia la buscó desesperadamente, hasta el brutal hallazgo.
The World Organization Bullying Without Borders confirms the suicide of 15-year-old Wendy, a girl from Lomas de Zamora, Buenos Aires Province, who took her own life by throwing herself onto the train tracks. She had been missing, and her family searched desperately for her until the tragic discovery.
El desenlace llegó varias después de que la familia de Wendy hizo la denuncia policial por la desaparición y se activó una búsqueda inmediata. Desde la localidad de Zeballos, partido de Florencio Varela, a unos 45 kilómetros de Buenos Aires, llegó la noticia de que una joven se había arrojado al paso del tren en el cruce de barrera de la calle 819. Era Wendy.
Mensajes de los amigos de Wendy:
“Wendy falleció el día 30 de abril. La familia no puede llevar adelante los gastos. Por esta razón hacemos esta colecta. ¡Necesitan de nuestra ayuda!”, rezaba la publicación que empezó a difundirse en grupos de vecinos de Lomas de Zamora.
El bullying detrás de la muerte de Wendy:
"El dolor que sufren los niños de seis a 15 años es tal que muchos piensan que la única salida es quitarse la vida. No sienten ganas de jugar, de compartir una comida con su familia, no pueden dormir y lo que antes los entretenía como jugar al futbol o al voley; hoy es simplemente nada. En la mayoría de los casos quieren llegar a mayores, simplemente crecer lo más rápido posible y dejar atrás la escuela, los acosadores y el bullying. Dicho de otra forma, el bullying, la epidemia del Siglo XXI, le está robando la infancia nuestros niños", dijo el Dr. Javier Miglino, Experto en Derechos Humanos y Protección de la Niñez.

The World Organization Bullying Without Borders confirms the suicide of 15-year-old Wendy, a girl from Lomas de Zamora, Buenos Aires Province, who took her own life by throwing herself onto the train tracks. She had been missing, and her family searched desperately for her until the tragic discovery.
The outcome came several hours after Wendy's family filed a police report for her disappearance, prompting an immediate search. News arrived from the town of Zeballos, in the Florencio Varela district, about 45 kilometers from Buenos Aires, that a young woman had thrown herself in front of a train at the level crossing on 819th Street. It was Wendy.
Messages from Wendy's friends:
“Wendy passed away on April 30th. The family can't afford the expenses. That's why we're holding this fundraiser. They need our help!” read the post that began circulating in neighborhood groups in Lomas de Zamora.
The bullying behind Wendy's death:
“The pain suffered by children between the ages of six and fifteen is so profound that many think the only way out is to take their own lives. They don't feel like playing, sharing a meal with their family, they can't sleep, and what used to entertain them, like playing soccer or volleyball, is now simply nothing. In most cases, they just want to grow up, to grow up as fast as possible and leave school, the bullies, and the bullying behind. In other words, bullying, the epidemic of the 21st century, is robbing our children of their childhood,” said Dr. Javier Miglino, an expert in Human Rights and Child Protection.
