Durante años, Bullying Sin Fronteras ha investigado, documentado y difundido información sobre bullying, ciberbullying, salud mental y suicidio adolescente.
Pero hay algo que para BSF es tan importante como investigar y publicar:
ayudar.
Si una familia llega a BSF porque un chico está sufriendo bullying, porque una adolescente está siendo atacada en las redes, porque existe una situación de ciberbullying o porque alguien no sabe qué hacer frente a un caso grave, encontrará una organización dispuesta a orientar y ayudar.
Y no tendrá que pagar un centavo por esa ayuda.
No hay letra chica.
No hay una tarifa.
No hay una consulta que después se convierta en una factura.
No hay que comprar un informe para poder recibir orientación.
BSF NACIÓ CON ESE PRINCIPIO
La Declaración de Buenos Aires el 2 de mayo de 2012 así lo dice:
Desde entonces, uno de sus principios fundamentales ha sido que sus investigaciones, documentación, información y servicios sean puestos a disposición de la sociedad sin costo.
Ese principio continúa vigente.
BSF no cobra por sus investigaciones.
BSF no cobra por sus estadísticas.
BSF no cobra por sus definiciones.
BSF no cobra por sus informes.
BSF no cobra por ayudar.
Y tampoco cobra porque una definición elaborada por la organización sea utilizada o citada por investigadores, periodistas, instituciones, universidades o tribunales.
LAS DEFINICIONES SE COMPARTEN
Una definición científica o jurídica no es una mercancía.
Se investiga, se desarrolla, se publica, se discute, se cita y puede convertirse en una herramienta para comprender un problema.
La Definición Universal de Bullying de Bullying Sin Fronteras ha sido citada en actuaciones y decisiones judiciales.
En uno de esos antecedentes, un tribunal de la Provincia de Buenos Aires utilizó expresamente la definición de BSF/OMS al analizar un caso de bullying.
BSF no recibió dinero por ello.
Nunca cobró derechos por esa sentencia.
Tampoco pretende hacerlo.
Lo que una organización obtiene cuando su trabajo es utilizado de esa manera no es dinero.
Es algo diferente:
prestigio.
El prestigio de saber que una investigación, una definición o una metodología fue considerada útil por otras personas para comprender una realidad y, eventualmente, para tomar decisiones.
LAS ESTADÍSTICAS TAMBIÉN SON GRATUITAS
Las Estadísticas Mundiales de Bullying y las Estadísticas Mundiales de Ciberbullying de BSF se publican para que puedan ser consultadas y utilizadas.
No son informes reservados para quienes puedan pagarlos.
Son información pública.
BSF investiga, reúne información, contrasta fuentes, verifica casos cuando es posible y publica sus resultados.
También explica las limitaciones de ese trabajo.
Las estadísticas de BSF no pretenden afirmar que todos los casos existentes en el mundo hayan podido ser registrados. El bullying y el ciberbullying tienen un enorme subregistro: muchas situaciones nunca son denunciadas, documentadas o conocidas por las autoridades.
Por eso BSF diferencia entre la totalidad del fenómeno y los casos que pudieron ser identificados, documentados y verificados.
Esa diferencia también forma parte de la seriedad de una estadística.
